I remember using SETI years ago, and actually rather liked the screen saver graphic. Now with BONIC, it's 3D and constantly moves around. A downgrade from the original if you ask me. Is there anyway to get the old graphic screensaver? Seen here: http://seticlassic.ssl.berkeley.edu/screensaver/index.html

There is a way to stop the 3D movement, but there is no way to get the old screen saver back.

Go to Project preferences, edit them, set the Graphics preferences to Custom, save changes to the web site.

Edit the preferences again, now set all oscillation options to zero.
Save changes to the web site.

Open BOINC Manager, Advanced view, Projects tab, select Seti@Home, click Update.
