I'll start by admitting to being a youthful 37 (well, I like to "think" I am young!) No problem. :) Manned mission to Mars in 2019 Petition <-- Sign this, please. |

It is often said that you should never ask a woman her age, but, what the Hell.... I'm 50 this year and I must be doing something right, since my partner is 38 this year! I do like the bike, Pappa; I've got a 1978 Suzuki GS750 EN, but my usual mode of transport is one of 3 Honda Legends I own. I have 2 X 2.7s (1 is a 225 bhp manual) and a 3.2 coupe (230 bhp), which are often driven in a 'spirited fashion'. First computer I got to grips with, was a DEC PDP-8. Ah well, getting older is better than the alternative! I'll be 72 in March. My first experience with computers was on a DEC PDP-8 also. The 'Classic', with 4096 12 bit words of ferrite core memory, and 'flip chips'. I have fond memories of toggling in the RIM loader, then reading in the BIN loader, at 10CPS, on the ASR-33 Teletype. And we had a real front panel, with switches and blinking lights. :-) |

Hey, we're getting older. Plus the great expansion in computer hardware, speed, etc. |

I am somewhere between 14 and 54. I'm a student but I'm not in my 20s. [Edit] Nor my teens! |

Trapped in a 48yr old shell, what's inside is a lot younger. It is true, you are only as old as you feel. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

heehee... you have a couple years on me, but if I had a dollar for every time I pushed "Clear/Load/Ready/Execute" on an old Honeywell DPS6 control panel (and tried to remember what the &#$%# all those LED error codes meant)..... my present financial state would be MUCH improved! |

I remember curling up to take naps between the memory banks, or was it the massive floating point unit, attached to the IBM 360 Model 44 that I cut my FORTRAN teeth on (that was the warmest spot in the computer room). I, too miss all those blinking lights on the front panel. Now if I could only remember the toggle sequence to clear core. Must have toggled one time too many and cleared my own core. LOL |
