Albert, it's been good chatting with you about our 'puters.

I have to call it a night now. I want to have a midnight snack, catch a movie on TV and just get up from this computer chair where I've been stuck so long fixing that vTech.

You have a great evening and I hope we'll see you here tomorrow.

Goodnight Albert. :]]

Beets

It's time for me to call it a night as well and prepare for school tomorrow. I hope to be able to stop in and say hi tomorrow, but I may not have time as I have to go with my mother to the doctor. Hope to see you later! Good night everyone.

Good morning/afternoon Champ!!!

I'm not awake yet, I'll have some breakfast and then maybe I'll make sense.

zum Beispiel: I cant remember where i put my contact lenses..Oh! I never took them off!

Please send me a dozen finches...it's too quiet in the house and my kitty wants company.

You need south American parrots. They are very loud.

We call him "Sonnensittich".

OOOH! He's very pretty. I can see why you call him "Sonneslittich", his chest is like a great big bright Sun.

Did I ever tell you I used to have a wonderful Blue and Gold Maccaw named "Chass". Chass was wonderful, I miss him still.

People don't realize what smart animals birds are. They are really, really, smart. :]]

On a slightly different note.. I passed 11,000 credits..... And hopefully I will break 300 RAC..
Bit dull 'round here.. where is everyone?.. oh... this is the Windows Vista Fan Club.... anyone seen Beethoven's Cafe? Ah, the next street, you say... very well.

Best Regards....
Luke.

Hello Dear Friends!!!

It's good to be back from the Land of the OUTage!!!

Thanks very much Stealth, Albert, Tim,Champ, Richard...and especially you, Misfit...for keeping the joint alive and kicking. That was Good of you guys!!!

We had two power outages in a row, the first hit most of the town including my house, and the second one the day after hit the east and west ends of our burgh.

It was the second one that kept me real busy. I went around to friends in the east and west, especially older friends of my parents. One of them, John McL (no relation to our John McL)was old enough that he had to be at home, if he wasn't in the hospital. I called the hospital, he wasn't there. I called the police. They had their hands full and wouldn't come out to help check on him. I told them I was about to commit a crime, and I did. I committed my first Break and Enter in my life by breaking the glass pane in his side door. He was home alright, and he was in bad shape! Somehow I managed to get him into Baby and drove him straight to emergency. It turns out that a mistake he'd made in his medications (taking them in the dark) had caused him to get into all kinds of complications, and that in another few hours he might have died! I've visited John a couple of times since then in the hospital, and he seems to be doing fine. Needless to say, he's been effusive with his thanks (to the point that it's a bit embarrassing, actually). So that worked out well.

So it's "Burglar Beets", at your service. :]]

I was also trying to help out at the yacht Club, which suffered a fair amount of damage in our recent floods to our piers, some cave-ins with poles missing and such). Some boats had capsized but with The Steadfast gone, I really couldn't be of much use in that department.

Back to these power outages: they can be a pain. You can't get anything at the stores, they all close down including the convenience stores and so do all the restaurants. So stocking up on some tinned food, a working flashlight with fresh batteries (the larger ones with the big batteries are best), some votive candles, a roll of quarters for the outside landline telephones) is a must. Police and fire stations are the best places to find out what's going on. If it's winter, heat becomes a problem: a few cans of Sterno would be a good idea.

This I have to mention: Skype is no good in a power outage. Without electricity your cellphones won't work, and besides: Skype cannot place any calls to police, fire, ambulance, any emergency system. So it's a washout.

My computer is fine but I'm way behind on PMs and email. I'll catch up as best as I can.

So how is everyone? What's been going on around the forums?

Ahhh! It feels good to be back home!!! :]]

Beets I know all about power outages. We have them here quite often, They usually are only momentary but still very annoying. I even had one that literally fried my Mobo, not to mention my video card and other components. Not fun at all. and definitely expensive.
I hope things are back to normal for you.

Good Morning Dear Friends!!!

I've unsuccessfully tried, for the last few days, to find a handyman to do the lawn and paint the house. I'll just have to keep looking.

and Uh Oh! My girl kitty Tippy just got nailed by the local tomcat Casanovea yesterday!!! He's ugly too, one of those cats that look like a patchwork quilt of black, brown and white spots all over (Tippy is a black tabby). So I need to know some things.

Does anybody know how long it takes for a cat to come to term in her pregnancy? What food/medicine does a pregnant cat need?

HELP!!! I don't know any of these kitty things! :[[

The foreign minister of Canada resigned on Tuesday after it emerged he left classified information in the apartment of a former girlfriend linked to members of a biker gang.

Oh well! *sighs* Live by the Dick, die by the Dick.

Consider the lawn done. Too old to tackle paining.

Hi Beets, I got my donation in today.... woot....

Don't know much on kitty pregnancy, cos' my two are boys and they've been neutered... cat pregnancy averages at about 65 days.. although it can be as short 61 days or as long as 69 days.... (quoted from cat site)

Here all the info you need: http://www.cat-pregnancy-report.com/

You should have a nice bunch of cute kitties, I'd have one but I happen to live in New Zealand :P

Best Regards,
Luke.
