They broadcast Corrie over there Beets? It's a waste of airtime when it's on here, but to ship it over there...well, I never did ;)

Do you get Eastenders? That's another waste of airtime, but it's more realistic than Corrie :D (I watch neither just to be clear :D)

I'm off to read the funnies which having my coffee & donut from Rocky's.

Hi Andie!!!

Corrie a waste of time?! You're darn right!

Thanks but nah! No time for soaps. :]]

Hi Beets & All,

We've still got a drought over here... and the weather forcast is sunny for the next week or so at least, It hasn't rained here in nearly four months, I'm really starting to get worried!
Its early morning right now - I woke up early, and couldn't get back to sleep, just gonna' have some toast for breakfast. Dunno what I'm going to do today.

Hope you are having a good day, Beets!

Luke.

Hi Luke!!!

I've never lived in a drought. It must be kind of scary!

Do they have bylaws where you can't water the lawn to conserve water? That's what they have in California, I think.

You could check with your Maori friends, maybe they know a rain dance. Hey! Stranger things have happened.

I've been in a drought every summer for the past three years now. The worst of them was last year. It caused the foundation to shift which in turn caused the roof to buckle in a small portion of the house. Luckily insurance paid for all of the damages. I just hope there isn't another drought this year.

There were drought conditions over much of Illinois last summer...The crops made it through only because we had a very wet spring...If the same scenario sets up again this year we will be as prepared as you can be...With supersaturated soil... and rivers...lakes and ponds starting the growing season belly full.

Do you relate this to a global warming condition? Or, has it happened now and then?

Global warming or not, we've all been through some ugly weather this past year.

I'll add a prayer for you and your local weather too!

GOD BLESS!!!

We do have laws that prevent water usage, we're currently in a total sprinkler ban, no washing cars, houses or watering lawns etc.

We only have about 40% of our water left apparently.

The drought is most likely caused by the "La Nina" we're having this year.

How is everyone elses day?

Luke.

Evening Beets, Albert, Champ & Luke.

Hope all is well.

Luke, We suffer from water shortages some Summers too - ironic considering we are on an island surrounded by water and also ironic seeing as we have recently suffered some of the worst floods in history.

The weather is messed up, that's for sure - but I am not a great believer in man made Global Warming.
