'ello Snow - let us know - If You do that - IF their eyes get real big - like that kittie below ;)

Yes they do- what's funny is that last night as i was getting out of the tub I lost my balance and stumbles- Nieca who likes to sit on the edge was 'accidently' ;) knocked into the water. It wasn't so bad- about an inch left to drain- but she got even by sitting on my brand new office chair. So, when I sat down- I felt the wet spots.

Oohhhhh.....poor kitty.....sorry for your squish.....

s'ok we both survived.

one thing I need to do is get a video recording of Sunshine and her worm.
It is so funny to watch when she's playing with this toy.
But it's so adorable when she's curled up sleeping with it- like it's a pillow.
Which is what she's doing right now.

Whenever you can.......would luv to see it......

My dear Squirrel kitty (the eldest) once fell into the tub whilst I was in it taking me bath.......
She used to climb up on the rim because she knew I would always give her a wet-hand kitty face wash while I was taking my own bath. But she lost her footing one day and slipped into the tub with me.........
Needless to say, I kinda got slashed to ribbons...(I don't believe in declawing kitties..)......but she has not done it since......
She will stand by the side of the tub meowing incessantly for attention, but never again has she climbed up on the rim while there was water in the tub....LOL.

That's the thing about Nieca- no matter how many times she falls, stumbles, slips, or gets pushed into the water- she keeps sitting on the edge of the tub.

hehe, that made me LOL - sorry though :D
I bear the scars still from when I was rescuing one of mine from a gap she had got stuck in as a kitty. She thanked me for it by slashing my arm and drawing blood - the scar still shows.
It's a hazard of being a kitty owner.

'S OK......I wear them proudly....call them badges of kitty courage...
I would not trade any of them for anything else.

Most of her scratches on people are incidental- not intentional-
my furniture on the other hand is a far far differnt story.

my brand new- have had it barely a week- office chair has already been subjected to the clawing- by all 3 of them. Bad kitties!!! they still have the base portion from the previous chair. And they are giving equal opportunity claw sharpening time to both.

Helloo again, fellow kitty lovers.......

The GF and I made a trip to the local kitty shelter........

And it looks like we may be rescuing another shadow kitty....

Fell in love with Starbucks.....

A beautiful gray long hair.....3yo male, front declaw, neutered....
With the biggest eyes you ever could see......

He was surrendered because the family was moving..(like you can't take kitty with you????? you would take a child, no????).

Sat down with kitty and he was just so laid back and happy to have the attention......he was in a room with several other kitties, so he should have no problem adjusting to her Callie and Oscar kitties.....

Filled out the paperwork, and should know by Monday if Starbee will be coming home with us.........

Such a kitten.........
And I will ask again......please, if you can....rescue a shadow kitty.....

Just so y'all know.....I don't just talk the talk, eh?

what a beauty- good luck with the adoption.

I've taken in many strays over the years but I have to be honest-
Sunshine is the best of them all. Next to the legendary PITA.

She and a few other kitties showed up on a friends farm one day in the dead of winter about 2 maybe 3 years ago. It wasn't long after that when Sunshine came in to my life.

So even though I didn't get her from the shelter- she was probably bound for it if I hadn't agreed to take her. Like I could say no to such an intellect?

Now, if I could just get her to stop begging while I'm eating?

FAT CHANCE!

Well, Starbee may just join the list of happy kittens that have come home to stay........there were at least 40 others that I would have taken home if I possibly could.....they were all ready and waiting......and all just as worthy......
Save a shadow kitty..............
If I had only won the lottery today......
And if I could just teach each one of you to take care of our kitty brethren......
My heart went out to all of them sitting there waiting for homes.

I know I carry on about this ad infinitum.........
But I simply must........

My kitties care..........you have to as well..........the shadow kitties await.........{steps off soapbox, but awaits another kitty home}......

I don't belittle those who have big hearts but no room at the inn.......
You can do a little by helping to contribute to those who are in charge of their care, if you can. Heck...a bag of kitty litter from Walmart is what......$3.00?
Stop by and drop off that once or twice a month.....
It all matters.
And if you cannot, but still care........a penny or two in a donation kettle would still help..........

I saw that bit on the news a few days ago........
Did you notice that all of the 'strays' in the news footage looked all pretty fat 'n sassy........no skinny foodless shadow kitties.....hmmmmmmmmmm....somebody must be feeding them pretty well..........
