When I first started using bonic the WU took about 1:40. They went to around 4 hours then to 5 now around 7 hours to complete. The WU size are still the same around 367k so way is it taking longer to procees them? I am switching to Climate Prediction every hour but even with it suspended for a week Seti WU still take over 5 hours, much longer than at first. Do I need to change a setting somewhere?

You could use an Optimized SETI Application. I'm not sure which one would be best for for your CPU GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Celeron(R) D CPU 3.20GHz [x86 Family 15 Model 6 Stepping 4]

If you download CPU-Z http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php and post the results then somone here should be able to point you to the best Optimized App.

Since you started there have been quite a few changes to Seti, the original BOINC/Seti application was similar to the last Classic app. Then we went to enhanced which increased the sensitivity and in the last few months the enhanced app has been modified for a new MultiBeam (MB) receiver, 7 beams with separate vertical and horizontal polarisations.

The units have always been sensitive to the angle_range (AR) of the unit but this has become more pronounced with MB. This post by Astro includes a graph showing his AMD cpu's time variation with AR.

In the last year or so, and even in the last several months the studies of the workunits have been radically changed so that crunchtimes vary with the type of workunit. If the scope slews across the sky different studies need to be made than when it follows the stars or remains stationary. So crunchtimes will vary a lot with the workunit. In the last several years studies have been made more intricate and generally require more time per workunit. But, longer workunit calculation generally gets more credit.

Thanks for the replies! I didn't know the WU process time could vary so much. I have downloaded cpu-z, but I may just leave things alone. Setting up an Optimized App might be more involved than what I could do. Thanks again!

I'm assuming Your OS is XP Pro and not Vista,
If You have Vista, You may have to do what is below also with one or two alterations as listed below.
It's not too hard to do, All you have to do after using cpu-z to see what Your cpu supports(MMX or SSE or SSE2 or SSE3)
Is go to http://calbe.dw70.de/seti.html
and download the 32 bit app for the one of the following that Your cpu supports: MMX or SSE or SSE2 or SSE3
If SSE3 is mentioned by cpu-z download 2.4V_Windows_x32_SSE3.zip as It seems to be faster than the others.
Next stop Boinc after downloading the file,
Then Go to Start(Or MS Flag if Vista),
Then My Computer(Not sure as I don't have Vista),
Then open Your Drive C: folder,
Then open to this location> C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu
or C:\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu(If Vista)
and copy all the files from the zip file(2.4V_Windows_x32_SSE3.zip)
into this folder(C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu)
or C:\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu(If Vista)
and then restart Boinc.
It isn't hard to do as copying and Pasting files is just press ctrl c(Copy) from the zip file and then ctrl p(Paste) into the folder where I've mentioned already.
