Thanks for the answer. I would like to point out that this is contary to what is written on http://boinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/intro_user.php:
When at least two results have been returned, the server compares them. If the results agree, then users are granted the smaller of the claimed credits.
No wonder I was a bit puzzled when I had sent back a work unit, and saw that a second user had also sent back the same work unit, but my credits were still pending.
