My car of yesterday. 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner w/383 Mag, 4 on the floor, and 3.23 rear end. 130+ across Nevada 1972. No ticket. Also 100 in the 1/4 mile stopped by cop. Also no ticket.

NO TICKET !!!!? DAMN !!! I am glad it worked out for you, but DAMN !!! Is robert short for Roberta ? Then I would understand.

This one still runs and runs and runs...

The East German Trabant P50 was built between 1957 and 1961 so this shiny vehicle has been run for about 50 years now!

You can if you want to burn up your pistons, acetone burns hotter than the gasoline.

I heard it makes the rubber hoses swell. Worth it with gas like it is

Not if you blow your engine.

Over time it will harm the engine. It has a cumulative effect. Why do you think that they have to change engines in race cars so often?

The WORST that could happen is that you won't notice any difference. It won't damage the engine or any rubber/buna or vinyl parts. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you. Ignore Kinkead as he's clueless about internal combustion engines.

Oh BTW Kinkead, the reason for changing race engines so often is because a fresh NEW engine always puts out more power than a tired OLD used engine and they're in it to win.

I used to build them.

Here is an article on the subject.

A notable quote from the same: "He believes that everyone should do their own testing and not listen to the prejudiced opinions or words of others. There is way too much misinformation out there."

I would suggest testing it out on an older second or third vehicle that wouldn't cause any hardships if eats the rubber or fries the rings and becomes a southern yard ornament.

I agree with you on that. I have seen what happens to them (the engines). But if someone wishes to check it out for themselves that is the best way to do it.
