I just wanted to post a link here to the Cricket graph showing network traffic to the Seti servers at Berkeley. I am not sure how many folks are aware of it or refer to it when they start having problems connecting to report results or get new work. I have referenced it in answering a few posts this afternoon about various problems. It's a good little link to check if you start having difficulties. If you see the traffic has dropped off radically shortly before your troubles started, it's probably a good bet the problem may not be on your end, and you could be frustrating yourself rebooting, restarting the project, etc., and still not being able to fix the difficulty. Good thing to wait and see if the traffic comes back up before you spend a lot of time trying to troubleshoot your computer. Just a heads-up for those who may not be aware of the tool. I just wanted to post a link here to the Cricket graph showing network traffic to the Seti servers at Berkeley. Yep I noticed It, It started about 2 hours ago, I was able to report 6 WUs, But No WUs could be downloaded as the Server said No Work was available. I just wanted to post a link here to the Cricket graph showing network traffic to the Seti servers at Berkeley. Who should we lobby to add a embed of the daily graph to the server status page? |

Is it just me, or is the top of the graph starting to look a little jagged? Grant Darwin NT |

The vertical scales are re-sized dynamicaly to fit the highest data point. The graph has looked great for the last few days. After the weekly back-up (today) you will see the the vertical scale will change for several hours. The daily graph also shows 24 + 18 hours. The current time is Berkeley local time (Pacific time zone). Sir Arthur C Clarke 1917-2008 |

And be prepared for tomorrow's (today's) scheduled outage. No need to panic, although I suspect we'll see a few posts wondering why there are no up/downloads for a few hours. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Yep, i know the scale changes accordingly, but i can remember back to before the Great Hardware Calamity of '07 and back then the top of the graph was much smoother. It would go up & down during the day but it didn't have the jaggy appearance it's had since then- and from around 15:00hrs it's been even more jagged than earlier (higher peaks & deeper troughs).
