BillHyland, why do you look to the Imams, anyway?
If I did something wrong, would you cast blame on all the pastors of the churches I've attended in the past, or even one of them?
What do the ACTIONS of the Muslims you say you see and work with every day tell you?

If you did something wrong, and said over and over again that it was because your God wanted you to do it, I think a few pastors might publicly explain your error. CNN would be out finding ministers/priests/rabbis, as the case may be, to comment on national television about how wrong you are.

Why would he need to look to anyone?

I don't need anyone to teach me Gods Word...
I don't need any church to teach me their doctrine...
I don't need any Government to teach me their laws...

God gave me the ability to read, write, and think for myself... ;)

It's been a while, but in certain situations, I do not recall anyone pointing any fingers at anyone except directly at leaders of small groups, such as Jim Jones in Guyana, David Koresh in Waco, Texas and the Heaven's Gate guy in (California?).

I think Zwerge and Jeffrey are two peas in a pod..... Nothing logical ever posted...only demands for the end of freedom post after post.

In the meantime I'll enjoy this...... :-)

True, but those guys claimed themselves as something equivalent to "God" and were outside organized Christianity. Most of the Islamic extremists recruit followers of Islam to fight on behalf of Islam. These same fighters are told their actions are justified by the religion itself, not just by their charismatic leaders. Suicide bombers yell out praise of their Islamic God just before pulling the trigger. Whereas the three small groups you named did their main damage to themselves rather than to the rest of society.

Is it religion? Is it politics? Or is it both? Either way I call it an abomination.

I could post over a hundred links just like this one...

R/B, could you do me a favor? Please call me Thorin, or a dwarf, but not Zwerge. I added the German word "Zwerg" (meaning "dwarf") only because there was already a user named thorin here, when I wanted to change my name into the name I'm using on most of the boards I'm posting on. The German word Zwerg shows I am a German, and the 8 is showing everyone that I'm not one of the "Seven dwarfs" :-)

It really IS an abomination (though I had to look up this word first).

That's politics in the mask of religion. The worst thing mankind has invented ever.

I think ... should reconsider any posts ... makes, after the garbage ... spouted a few weeks ago, including a thread called "Mods, please stop it!" and then turned on the people that tried to help ... . Any benefit of the doubt some may have held out for you regarding your ability to analyze any person, or topics from politics and religion have been seriously undermined after that event.

Proverbs 26:24-26
He who hates, dissembles with his lips and harbors deceit in his heart; when he speaks graciously, believe him not, for there are seven abominations in his heart; though his hatred be covered with guile, his wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.

For all intents and purposes, we shall call this thread, 'the assembly'... ;)

We only send the messengers to give Glad Tidings and to give warnings: But the unbelievers dispute with vain argument, in order therewith to weaken the truth, and they treat My Signs as a jest, as also the fact that they are warned! ~ Qur'an 18:56 ;)

D/B ... I could play Devil's Advocate here and say, well, I do not speak Arabic, so how do I know that that's really what was being said, when reading the sub-titles?
However, I could speak to a friend from Palestine and play the video for him and see how he responds.
He and I had a long talk a few months back. He told me that he and many of those he knows lived with Jews and Christians in peace. He said their struggle is with the Israeli government.

I do not speak Arabic, so how do I know that that's really what was being said, when reading the sub-titles?

How do we know that the video itself is real?

When they see movies such as 'Fahrenheit 911' and 'Jar-head' in plain english they cry claims of lies and propaganda, yet when they see little video clips in a foreign language they scream, well, it must be real, it has to be real, there's no way that it can't be real...

People only see what they want to see... ;)

You're going to have to clarify what you mean by real. Clearly, it was something I could watch. Clearly, there was an adult interviewing two very young children. As I said, the sub-titles can be called into question.
Suppose the sub-titles are not accurate. Then who posted it?
Suppose they are accurate. Was this really on television, or was that part faked? Whom does this television station, if real, reach? So on and so on ... .
