My results page shows 2 WU's that were sent to my laptop on Apr 17 that seem to be sitting there idle. The server state column reads "In Progress", but there is no activity being performed on the WU's. Can anyone suggest how I might "kick start" the work on the WU's??

What is the Status under the Projects tab and Tasks tab?

I see that you are using BOINC 5.8.16. I've also had a couple of occasions where WUs unexplainedly 'stop'.
Suspend the project, close down BOINC and then restart BOINC seems to solve the problem.

Are these 2 WUs present on your computer in BOINC Manager, Tasks (Advanced View)?

If they are not visible in BOINC Manager, try looking in "Program Files\\BOINC\\projects\\setiathome.berkeley.edu" using Windows Explorer.

If the files are not there either, they are Ghost WUs. If the files exist but BOINC Manager does not show them, the problem is at your end; if they are not present at all on your computer, just ignore them, they will time out on May 10,11 as they have reached quorum.

While you are waiting for more SETI WUs, why not join another BOINC project, there are plenty to choose from http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php

Agreed...either they are Ghost WU's or the semi-annual-daily reboot should help
