Y see that the Recent average credit are going down y send example 10 works units in one hour and the Recent average credit going down the next hour 10 more credits and the Recent average credit are going down, explanation please. thanks There is a large queue of workunits waiting for validation. It is likely that your work is sitting in that queue. Just wait a bit and you will recieve credit and your Rac will go up again. |

That explains a lot, but can someone explain briefly how RACs increase/decrease again? Being a noob, i assume its the total credits/amount of workunits done, is that assumption correct? Thanks. |

RAC is affected by many factors. The best place to look for a simple explanation is probably the Unofficial BOINC Wiki. RAC is explained here. If you have a question which is not specific to Windows, you may get a quicker reply in the Number crunching forum. HTH Sir Arthur C Clarke 1917-2008 |

Actually, no, itis not credits/work units. It is the amount of credit that your computer has earned per unit time (I don't know the units). It is calculated as an exponentially reducing average with a half life of 2 weeks. The calculation is very time sensitive, and since many results are backed up in the validation queue, when they do all get credit, there will be a spike in your (and everyone elses) RAC which will take a while to decay back to normal.
