It's a beautiful picture. I guess the biggest mountain is Olympus Mons.

Hi Clyde C. Phillips, III,

You can use the hypertext and buttons to show these features too:

Regions
Mountains
Plains
Spacecraft
Canyons
Ridges
Stories
Dunes
Craters

Elevation
Visible
Infrared

Pretty cool! I'm sure it'll improve weekly too!

Here's an animated spinning mars generated by using Hubble images.

Don't count on it improving on a weekly basis, because it's looked the same since about August of 2006. I think it's safe to say that this is as good as it gets for now. It's always better than nothing, so I'm definitely not complaining.

I'll email them now.

labs+googlemars@google.com

I sent them a link to this thread and received the following response:

Thank you for your praise for Google Mars and for commemorating the
observation of mars with us. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed
surfing the Martian landscape, and we'll continue to look for creative
ways to celebrate important events in the future.

We appreciate your taking the time to write.

More info as I get it as I assume the above email was an auto responder, for now.
