Message 537206 - Posted: 26 Mar 2007, 19:13:13 UTC - in response to Message 537205.

There is currently a backlog of 78,697 (2h) and the upload/download server is currently disabled.

Is it safe to assume (I hate to use that word), how about speculate, that means after our current WU's are crunch, additional WU's won't be downloaded for XX amount of time until the backlog is more current?

I've just edited my previous post to validator backlog.

Just let BOINC download when it can. For future reference try setting your cache to at least 2 days. General preferences, Connect to network about every
(determines size of work cache; maximum 10 days)
. (Mine is currently 2.5 days).

Personally, I would just let BOINC plow along like you normally have it set. We've had fairly hefty validator backlogs in the past and they've cleared without issues. The last I heard Bruno was handling the majority of uploads, so I'm not too concerned about work getting lost as was last week early on.

Also I noticed on the Scarecrow graphs the total number awaiting validation dropped slightly with everything running now, so maybe they've got it straightened out and we've turned the coner on the backlog.

1 US Gallon = 3,785 litre, or?

In Germany:
1 litre = 1,27 € (95 Octane)
Then we must pay in Germany for 1 Gallon= 4,81 € or 6,4221 US$

How much you must pay in the USA? ;-)

Friendly greetings!

Backlog is decreasing slowly:

Workunits waiting for validation 73,036 2h
[As of 27 Mar 2007 10:10:23 UTC]

Workunits waiting for validation 71,331 22m
[As of 27 Mar 2007 11:10:23 UTC]

I just changed the thread title from "New Validator problem ?" to "Workunits waiting for Validation." I hope that is OK.

That is the server backlog, not mine. :-)
I usually crunch about 5-6 WUs a day with 3 PCs.
