Ramblings of Zain...
Just a little update because I havent posted for a while.
Life
Life is flying along for me. As many of you know I am in full swing into Anaesthetic training here in Australia, and have NASTY nasty exams coming up in March. Yes March. Most people say its about 1000 hours worth of study to pass them... which if you do the math (I am sure you already have) thats 3 hrs a day for nearly a year!
Needless to say this is where MOST of my spare time goes. It will all be worth it in the end... and I love this line of work. Happy to finally find something I think I would love doing for the rest of my life.
Way too much personal info... *hehe* the internet is scary afterall.
BOINC Synergy
Things are trunding along just fine. While I cant do as MANY updates with all the study, I am still visiting daily, keeping the forum running (and spam free with the great help of Forum Mods) fixing small bugs as they appear (like the Einsten history bug, SETI History bug, small signature bug, a few other little ones).
The team continues to show great moral fibre... with a wonderfuly active forum that answers issues for every project with old school members and new members alike. No flame wars, good conversations about everything BOINC to world peace. I am so proud of the team.
And the team continues to grow. 4200 members have now signed up here at the site... nearly 1000 in the forum. The teams have been slowing in their growing rate... with generally a few members picked up every week into BOINC Synergy. Many people think BOINC Synergy is a project!!!!... and I have to point out were a team, and that if you dont join at each project your name wont appear in our team lists!
The Future
Work is underway to develop a new looking site, with new and better member and team functions... and then hopefully a spate of new stats, features and things which we all love.
Development is slow... and I am waiting on a few important factors. One is I have recently just moved and will be moving interstate in July. Once the connection is set up, a few pieces of software have been organised I will get a team of people up and working on it. It will be slow going at first (never run a project like this across the world with "strangers") but hopefully it will work out. We have a development server to test things on, and will be an exciting time.
Keep crunching hard, posting in the forum... and spreading the BOINC Synergy love.

Cool, but would people ask me if I had an ulterior motive for joining? Exactly what several people in my last team did.

Well then, maybe I should join. I wouldn't mind winning the lottery to, my bills are up to my eye balls.
At Synergy we even let you keep all your winnings. Our team is free of all taxes, fees and surcharges!
