Supression of panel text 'Team:' in SETI Enhanced, a 5 years ongoing bug...
==============

When will SETI @ Home ever suppress the display of 'Team:' in the text panel in the screen saver?

Other useful data could be displayed in its place, or nothing at all.

If I were writing a book on how to create a distributed computing application, with a user friendly user interface -- I would have to declare SETI non-compliant becuase of the 'Team:' issue.

This is a totally uncalledfor and uncessary bug, as there are vast numbers of SETI users that have no desire or technical web navigation skills (or time) necessary to join a team.

It's a standard entry that is built in into the screensaver/graphics mode.

What do you want? Two screensavers built into the science application? Once showing Team: XXXX and one showing nothing?

Declare SETI non-compliant over a simple display issue, which is purely opinionated?

Wow. Glad I am not on trial for death and you're the judge. I'd probably hang because I had a pimple on my face!
