How does the Scoring for Boinc WU work?

I understand three seperate sets of results for each WU must be returned before credit is granted, but how does the actually assignment of Credit work?

Are they scored on how quickly the results are returned? On how long they took to crunch? or is credit based on the average result for each WU?

Any clarification here would be great.

Still trying to get a grip on the Boinc Project.
