We will need some patient as there are some bottleneck problems. See the news on the front-page:

August 3, 2004
While the project is up and functioning normally, the database and web servers are overloaded. Because of this you may have noticed difficulty in transferring work and loading certain web pages. We're tuning these servers and trying to find the bottlenecks now.

A lot of people have the same problem as you, including me ;o]

Greetings from Belgium.

Hah! Normally? Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

Actually, they finished the entire project over the weekend.
There's no more need for any of us users because they don't have any more work units. So we can all just go home.

LMAO :)
This project isn't working normally until they can send and receive units to everyone who is running the client.
It's looking like a complete shambles to me

The problem is the definition of "functioning normally", in the case of BOINC, that means a SNAFU.

SNAFU means:
Situation
Normal,
All
Fouled (or some other "F" word)
Up.

SNAFU == Situation Normal, All Fouled Up.

Related to:

FUBAR == Fouled Up Beyond All Recognition.

((Replace "Fouled Up" with "F^%&ed Up" for normal usage.))

I just thought that the transition would go smoother. I am antsy enough that when things don't go right in situations like this, I never know wether to blame my computer or the server at the other end. Wish the bugs had been worked out a little earlier. Would add myself to the protein folding project as well but am even more leary as they are only in alpha testing!!!
