I'm having a bit of a problem.. and I don't know if it's me, (ie: my computer/connection), or if it's the site.

It's been working like a little dog just fine, then suddenly a couple nights ago, it stopped sending the results, stating in the message section, "Temporarily failed upload_____", next message saying, "Backing off_____ of upload_____", and continues that pattern every few minutes. When this began, it was still able to download work units and work them, but now no downloads are able to come through either. At the moment, I have 5 units trying to upload and 1 trying to download, with no sucess.

Is there a backlog and I shouldn't be concerned?... (I couldn't find anything in the Tech news section), or is it something wrong on my side?

Thanks so much!

Well, Lady, just reading some of the threads in "Windows Q&A" and even in here at "Web site" would have helped... your issue has been a great issue to all of us in the last 24 hrs.

After yesterday's weekly backup (servers are shut down every Wednesday at 17:00 UTC for about 3 hrs) the system didn't recover as usual.

Everybody suffered u/l snd d/l problems. Seems that Berkeley is working on it.

Be patient.

Currently there seems to be a problem uploading at the moment.

A few people have reported that they have just started to upload (but very slowly).

So I wouldn't worry about it for the moment (I'm currently waiting to upload myself).

Give it a bit of time. If there is a serious problem of extended outages it will be mentioned on the Home Page (at some point).

For your interest you might like to have a look at the following links:

Thank you guys.. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something on MY end that I'd have NO clue how to fix.. lol. Now that I know.. "whewww"..and it'll do it in it's own time. O:)

And you're very right, Greybeard ...after reading your post, I went looking harder and found them. Not being familar with the Forum, the little thingie at the top right was set on something up there that wasn't letting that question show up.. my bad! O:)

Thanks again guys!

Yup, I know - sigh...
And at times you enter the forum and notice - after a while of confusion - that the 'thigie' just was reset by god-only-knows-what...
