Hi,

when I switched to Boinc, I noticed, that workunits are slightly bigger in comparison to "classic" seti.
Nevertheless, computing time is about half the time.

Why?

WUs even are exactly the same in BOINC and Classic. Normally 354, at times 364 KB.

Also, on my machines, crunching time has been almost the same when I switched to Seti BOINC (All my machines run under W2K or WXP).

But after having installed an optimized client, crunching time decreased massively. Maybe you already run an optimized client?

Well, WU-size was 331kb in classic.
I use an optimizes client, but even with the original client, work time decreased.

But, don´t worry, I just wonders, if something changed.
