Hi, when I switched to Boinc, I noticed, that workunits are slightly bigger in comparison to "classic" seti. Nevertheless, computing time is about half the time. Why? |

WUs even are exactly the same in BOINC and Classic. Normally 354, at times 364 KB. Also, on my machines, crunching time has been almost the same when I switched to Seti BOINC (All my machines run under W2K or WXP). But after having installed an optimized client, crunching time decreased massively. Maybe you already run an optimized client? :-)= Greybeard All about BOINC: BOINC-Wiki (by Paul D. Buck) |

Well, WU-size was 331kb in classic. I use an optimizes client, but even with the original client, work time decreased. But, don´t worry, I just wonders, if something changed. |
