Okay, okay, dont'yell at us!!

Credit system is not the same as in Seti classic. Your WU was sent to 4 users and will only get credit when at least a quorum of three results have returned.

AND: The validator (the machine which gives the credits) at Berkeley is a bit overloaded at the time being. You can see how many WU's are waiting for validation here.

So it takes a bit of time to wait.

If you expect an answer giving you a precise time, you have got it wrong. It's not a matter of a defined time, it's a matter of fulfilling some conditions which you and I cannot influence.

Two things have to be considered:
(1) Result quorum
Seti BOINC sends the same WU to four users. It then waits until at least three results have been returned and validated. If you are a fast cruncher, you have often have to wait until this quorum is fulfilled.
See BOINC-Wiki for more information.

(2) Special situation of the validators at the moment
The queue for results waiting for validation normally is near 0. Since begin of August, however, we see a constantly rising backlog of the validators. This is not normal, and staff is working on it.
The backlog is at something around 7 to 8 days at the moment, as could be read in the Number Crunching board.
More information is to be found on Technical News page or in Matt's slog.

That could easily be at the present state. As all the recipients of the WU are suffering the same backlog, it may well take more than the mentioned 7 to 8 days until the quorum is assembled.

BTW: Since about 2 days I have noticed that my credits are rising again (after they fell back to less than 2/3 ot the usual before) while the validation queue is still increasing. So HOPE is the slogan...
