I have four systems running SETI@Home. One Solaris 10, one WinXP, and two Mac OSX. Since Jul 18 one of the Macs can't report or get new work units. The other Mac, the Solaris system, and the WinXP system failed to contact a scheduler a few times but generally work. Only one Mac can't contact a scheduler consistently but it uploades completed work units without problems.
I read the technical news about botlenecks and other problems with schedulers but this looks unrelated since three work and one doesn't.
I haven't changed anything on the systems for weeks, either. Both Macs run the same OS version. The

I looked at your computers, and both Macs have WU to work on. The older Mac has 8 WU waiting to be run, and the newer Mac has 24 waiting. The older Mac uploaded two WU today, but the newer one hasn't uploaded anything since July 20. You might try quitting BOINC and restarting on the newer machine...

Yes, I know it has 24 completed work units to report. As I said, it can't connect to a scheduler to report or get new work units.

I already quit BOINC and restarted the G5, no change. My only choice seems to be resetting the project but that means losing the 24 work units and probably doesn't address the underlying problem.

I have the same issue. Restarting OSX, and/or BOINC has no effect. I have version 4.43. I can download work, but not upload the results. OSX 10.4.2 on a dual G5. All I get is a "Deferring Communications" with an ever increasing delay.

Sounds like the same problem. In fact, a number of the newer questions seem to address the same issue. My 2GHz dual G5 can't report but the G4 seems to work fine..

I reset the project and the statistics seem to show that SETI counted the unreported work units. It worked for a couple days but looks like it can't report again.
