I now have a margin for a few wu's of 4 days....

I hope no work is getting lost, because that would be a big shame....

Same here, have a couple of wu's stuck in upload status with the 25/7 as a deadline. They will most likely be lost, and NO I'm not using 4.13, but 4.45

You still have 6 days until those are lost. Since some of the UL's have been going through, don't sweat it.

aren't late entries discarded only if a quorum is met by the deadline?

if everyone has similar problems making deadlines, it wouldnt seem to cause a problem with work being discarded since a quorum wouldn't be met. on the other hand...
new thought: if there is a problem with passing deadlines, is the same work going to be re-sent to new hosts?

Have some units left with a deadline on july 25th, so they should be ok.
What's more worrying to me is the increase in backlog I have,
on sunday I had 26 WU's waiting to be uploaded,
by now this has increased to 52 or 53 WU's.
Some WU's have been send succesfully over the past few days, but these had later deadlines.

I'm not letting mine get close to the deadline. Whenever you have a wu that is close to the deadline, just start clicking the "Retry Now" button in BOINC under the Transfers tab. It will be sent if you keep trying. Of course, there is no reason to do that if you still have several days left.

And hitting the retry now button adds to the congestion or server overload which exacerbates the problem.

Well my client automatically tries every so many minutes anyway and I have a backlog of about 40 wu's.About 8 or 9 were 4-5 days over the deadline but all I could do was let my client connect every so many minutes and try and upload them.I got credit for all of them, even the 4-5 day late ones. What more can I do?I have always on broadband and my client is always connected.

You didn't get hurt by these, because you never crunched them. These are WUs that never successfully got to your machine.

I have 2 wu due 22/7 at about 10:20PM. That is recorded on the client machine.

Anyone any Idea if this deadline is strictly at the client or the server.

I can get +10 hours if it's a deadline at the server.
