July 12, 2005 We safely restarted the project after an all-night (planned) power outage. It will take significant time for the servers to catch up. More info in Technical News. I am stoping all work till the web site gets its act together. Yesterday and last night was the same thing. I can get WU's but it wont upload it started to clear up last night and I made it down to 2 WU's left to Upload. This morning I am back up to 4 to upload and 1 runnibg and 1 on stand by. This problem is hurting my average and to tell you the truth its getting boring. I have seen alot of crunchers just leave SETI@Home as they cant stop fixing things and let it run when its working. These bugs and problems should of been fixed when we were in bata test. You should not relise it untill it was working right with no problems. |

Astro Tom1 I'm with you on this, I only have a few min to log on each day, the last thing i need is to sit here and watch nothing happen, wasting what little time I have on line. I know Seti doesnt pay us for are time but it is still worth more than what we are geting. so I too will stop. untill, when is up to them. I just dont have the time to waste. |

You think this is bad, you should have seen the problems they had back in 1999 when SETI@home first started up, back then a solution was to leave SETI and come back when it had settled down, however, now that BOINC can handle other projects as well as SETI, why not join some of thos as well to tide you over when SETI is down. Take a look on the BOINC website for some other projects. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

If I wanted to I would .I kinda feel like seti is pushing me to join some other projects, so Im not go to. hope that makes sence to you. |

It makes no sense to stop processing because results can't be uploaded. When the problem is fixed then all accumulated work can be uploaded. |
