Tell me about it, Pascal. What really sucks is that, due to the crippling injuries one has recieved, and other medical conditions, one's 80-year-old father is able to get around better. Going through all this has definitely changed my outlook on life, and has made me VERY sympathetic towards older people. Especially when I percieve they are being 'put down' verbally (or textually as in here).

I may only be in my early 40s, but people say I look 30 when they try to guess my age. My father (80) looks to be in his 50s. Looks can be deceiving. The average life-span in my family (95-100) means i probably have about another 50-something years to go. If I am this bad off now, I shudder to think about how I will be in another 30 or so years... Urrgh. ;-)

Keep enough work on disk to last between 1 light-year to 2 light-years
and you on the safe side for the next

Snifff -- you mean, I'm not the only one ? I'm only 45 but have enough of those little aches and pains that several of our parrots imitate my sigh/groan I let out when I'm getting up or picking something up. One of them is a smart ass and does it every time he sees me stand up and does it himself when he steps up on to something.

Hang in there, for some of us it gets worse, had a heart attack 5 years ago open heart 5 way bypass, and to kick it up a notch I have to have open heart again, real soon or I am kaput... Have an anurysm on my aorta just after it leaves the heart....
