I'm using this lovely little app, but since I upgraded to 4.45, the STDs aren't updating. I think that this might be due to the renaming of [debt] to [short_term_debt] So I have to ask... Skip will you make a 4.45 version? I can't see it being too tough, but I don't think I can figure out how to decompile the app... THANK YOU!!!! |

I've just started using this app, too. Seems quite cool, though, now I have another problem. Despite all the threads I know exist on here about it, I have no idea what these numbers mean. Could someone please indulge me in my ignorance and explain the Short and Long term debt in laymans' terms? Thank you. |

I've just started using this app, too. Seems quite cool, though, now I have another problem. Debt is calculated based on the resource share and the wall time used by an application. Short term debt is used to determine which project gets the CPU at the next task switch. Any project with no work on the host will have the short term debt set to 0. Long term debt is used to determine if a project will be asked to supply work, and if so, which one will be requested first. Depending on which version you are running, either projects with negative LT debts or projects with LT debts less than -connect_time will not be asked to supply work unless there is a CPU idle. Yeah what JM7 said, There is no way that 15 is enough. Could you make it dynamically creating slots with a scrollbar or something? |

I'm using this lovely little app, but since I upgraded to 4.45, the STDs aren't updating. I think that this might be due to the renaming of Done v0300 - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

Yeah what JM7 said, v 0.1.16 was like that but most folks didn't like the display format. Lemme go see if v0116 is still avail... no, it's not but I can put it up there later tonight... http://home.austin.rr.com/skipsjunk/BoincDV%20Hosting.htm I'll talk to my son about using the horizontal display format (v0118 and later) but using the scrolling that was in v0116 ad earlier. --- Skip EDIT: Cancel making v0116 available... it'll not work with BOINC v4.45 due to xml tag change. |

Skip, Thank you so much for making the updated DV, I d/led it yesterday and it works like a charm... though I do wish I could minimize it (just a thought if you wanted to play more with it....) You are marvellous!!! |

I'm just the tester, packager and design suggestion guy... my 16yr old son does all the code. Last time I was really writing code for a living it was COBOL and mainframe Assembler (ALC/BAL)!!! Your Brain Tour made me wimper... I can't imagine doing the course load you were doing without throwing a "basket weaving" or "welding" elective or something in to lighten it. Hope it all turned out well. BTW, scriptX has found and fixed the "extra blanks" problem that has been around since "clear debts" was added with v2.7. I should be able to get that out fairly soon. I think it's v3.02. He's looking at adding 'scrollabilty' back without killing the sort features. I'll mention the 'minimize' thing to him also. 88, Skip - da shu @ HeliOS, "A child's exposure to technology should never be predicated on an ability to afford it." |

I just tried BOINC DV. 15 entries is not enough. John, see the Synergy forum. We have a "JM7" version now ;-) |

Hi, As I'm not registered on the BOINC Synergy forum, I post my message here: I have the following error message when I try to load the client_state.xml file with the "load" button: run time error '13', type mismatch Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong ? XP, BOINC4.71 and I've placed the boincdv in C:/program files/Boinc Arnaud |
