If you go to "Your Account" then were it says results click on "view". After that find one of your results that says "pending" then look over to the left hand side of the screen and click on the numbers under the column that says "Work unit ID click for details" that should give you an idea of what happening with the issuing of credit. It usually just shows that you need to wait a little longer for someone else to send in their result.

We have to send in three good ones that match each other I think.

BOINC does not issue credit for a work unit until there is a quorum: until two other computers return the same work unit. The granted credit will basically be the "middle" requested credit.

It usually takes several days, but once you're going you'll see credits granted at a pretty steady rate.

Not necessarily true.

That just means the validator is running a little slow, it should be validated soon and if not should be validated when the 4th unit is returned.

@ techwyzrd

Nothing on that WU page can tell you if the returned results are close enough scientifically to form a quorum and the issuance of credit. The validator is probably waiting for the next (last) WU result to see which three to use, or even to send out the WU to a new user, if the first 4 aren't close enough.

hope this helps

tony
