CPU and CPU usage

If I can bring it up to like 25 or 30 percent will my work go faster? ID: 104680 ·

First thing you should do is find out what programs, etc are using the rest of the cpu usage and see if you can stop them. In windows press CNTRL-ALT-DEL and inspect the processes tab. Personally I do not see the point in Threadmaster - with the possible exception of some older or less well built laptops, where heat dissapation may be a problem. Any other system shoud not need such a program. If you have a desktop system that is overheating (the CPU), then you need to improve the cooling, not reduce the use. If you must use Threadmaster, the configuration information is all given on the page here: http://threadmaster.tripod.com/ It involves editing the registry so take care, it is possible to seriously mess things up. Sounds like the system is slowing down to excessive heat. Many motherboards are capable of this. Do you have any idea of the cpu temperature? Remove Threadmaster, it should not be needed.
