After maintaining a Seti@home Classic account for 2 years, I left and began my Seti@home(BOINC) a few months ago. Two days ago I read where we could have the credits earned on our Classic Account added to our Boinc Seti Accounts. I followed all of the instructions for doing so, completing all information asked for, but when pushed the button after completing everything, I got an onscreen message it couldn't do this because a BOINC Seti account was already open with my present e-mail address. I had a different dial up e-mail address for the Classic Account. To whom can I write to solve this problem. Please help!!!! |

Are your S@H and classic email addresses the same? If so, they should update on the next snapshot. BOINC WIKI |

John, I noticed that Walter's join date is listed as 1999, so he must have already linked up to a Classic account, right? However, in his profile it doesn't list any Classic credits. Walter, could it be that you have several Classic accounts? Dig |

When I first joined Seti Classic in 2002 (not 1999 as listed) I had a dial up account with Compuserve. After being with Classic about 2 years, I got a broadband account with Verizon. So now I had a different e-mail account and address. Then I joined Seti BOINC in 2004 with this new e-mail address, the old email account was now invalid. When the news was posted here last week I thought they were saying you could receive your credit from Classic even if that e-mail address was no longer valid. I followed all of their instructions listing my old account ID and indicating I wanted to transfer those credits to my present BOINC Account. But when I did all of that an onscreen message appeared saying there was already a BOINC account with my e-mail address. Of course there was. That was my present Boinc account. Is there anyone I can write to report this to and get it resolved. |

When I joined Classic I had a dial-up account with Compuserve. I left Classic to join BOINC in 2004.When I joined BOINC I had gotten a broadband account with Verizon, and thus a new and different e-mail address. Following instructions posted here last week about transferring credits from Classic to BOINC even if the e-mail address you had at classic was no longer valid, I got an onscreen message saying there was already a BOINC account with my present e-mail address so nothing could be done. Of course the BOINC account the message was referring to was my present BOINC Account. Is there someone I can wriote to to help me resolve this. |
