Trying to get more work units I received the message that there isn't enough disk space to accommodate the necessary work. I have over 16GB free and I've looked at the online preferences and modified them, but it still says (pie chart) that I have 0 free space for BOINC to use. Solution anyone??? thx, Plenty |

Have you updated since the modifications? BTW: A good manual for Boinc is Paul D. Bucks BOINC Powered Projects Documentation and his FAQ therein. Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

Disregard this question, I guess it takes quite awhile to propagate the changes to user systems after updating the preferences. Hmmm, sounds like a really good argument for local preferences over web based... |

> Didn't realize there were any modifications, I'll d/l it now. Aah, sorry if I used some wrong wording, but I meant your modifications, that have to be told to your puter through (manually) update. Local preferences are good, if you just ahve 1-2 puters with regularly personal access by you. It would work fine with me. But if you have a big farm, it's easier to have the prefs done with the next web-access. Gruesse vom Saenger For questions about Boinc look in the BOINC-Wiki |

Regardless, the older version of BOINC is now processing. I installed the manager assuming it would integrate with the original version, but it didn't. I've tried attaching it to a project, but nothing happens, further it's stuck on Always Run. What have I missed? |

What have I missed? If I understand it correctly, did you installed v4.25 on top of an old version? What was the old version you had? I solved my problem by uninstalling the old version and then repairing the new version, so all is well now. Thanks to both of you for your help. |
