I do not have broadband or DSL. When I try to connect to BOINC I am told that I cannot connect and any further attempts to connect have been delayed for 1 week and 2 days. The one file I have been able to download will not upload. I am not at all impressed with BOINC. It appears that the average Joe or Josephine with regular dial-up internet connection can no longer participate in this project. I am extremely disappointed with this situation. I hope you are working on retifying this situation because not everyone has access to broadband or DSL.

Have you tried to force the upload?
If you right click on the WU and select retry now you may be able to up load it.

When it comes up with retrying in xxxx keep hitting the retry now button, it might take a few attempts but it should get through eventually.

If you have turned off the modem, you should have also turned off BOINCs network access from the file menu.
