> THE place to go for new users !! > Paul has produced a very comprehensive guide - it answers many of the questions that appear on these message boards and is well worth looking at. However, how many users (R)ead (T)he (F)ine (M)anual... (Or substitute your own 'F' word...) --
Regards, Paul - Just slowly BOINCing along...
|

Yes, I am back working on it... I have the broken links down to about 50 or so. I am making a hard push to get that back up to snuff along with my W3C validation and the FAQ "magic". My recommendation is that if you are not sure where it might be located, try the glossary. I am still adding links to and from there, but it helps to find material that you may be unsure of. Last time I looked at my counters I was over 5,000 people entering through the front door (so to speak). |

> Yes, I am back working on it... Hi Paul, A small request to update the BOINC FAQ, problems section, MD5 checksum failure: It seems that a project reset is now only required if an MD5 is experienced on the application binary, or one of its support files (pdb, jpg etc.) If the WU experiences an MD5, a project reset is not required. The WU reports "Download failed" in the work tab. I suspect that a project update will kick it right. (OK, a project update clears the WU from the work tab, but since I had one WU already crunching, it didn't ask for more work...) BTW. CC=v3.20 SAH=v3.08 |
