When there's a heavy rainstorm, there's lighting and thunder. But I've never experienced either during a blizzard. Is it possible to have lightning during a blizzard? |

Cloud to cloud, and that purple/blue streak reflecting through the snow, very cool (then again I like lightning). What I would like to know is why it is rarer? Still looking for something profound or inspirational to place here. |

Raindrops generate far more static electricity than snowflakes do. You will be assimilated...bunghole! |

I did not see the lightning but I did hear the thunder. Some people call it Thundersnow. It usually happens about once a year around here. |
