Personal background
A few days ago I read a very interesting article on the 'cinderella' concept - we always thought that life was limited to a very narrow band that was 'not-too-hot-not-too-cold' but we are only just discovering how resilient life is and how the narrow band could be stretched out, basically life finds a way.

I have an amateur interest in computers and science. The seti@home project fascinates me because it is so straightforward and I really want to learn more but it has to be 'one step at a time', first of all get my credits up then we will see what happens.

I live in Belfast, N. Ireland, I work in an office and I like the idea of 'amateur scientist'.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have enjoyed using the project so far, I would like to see more information for beginners.
