I am a FedEx Courier in southeastern Pennsylvania.
I love to practice my guitar, and I have several fish tanks - but one "hobby" that has been a constant throughout my life has been astronomy and space science. I have several telescopes and I spend many evenings gazing out into the vastness of the night sky.
I can say beyond any shadow of a doubt that my intrerest in astronomy is a result of the question:
"Who is out there?" rather than "What is out there?"
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe life exists on other planets - I believe it exists in vast numbers.
There are probably thousands of civilizations in our galaxy. I would guess that the center of the galaxy is one gigantic interstellar civilization composed of many interconnected societies from many diverse worlds.
