Personal background
I'm from and live in San Francisco, CA. However, I'm very proud of my Boricua heritage. As it's been said, "I'd be Puerto Rican if I'd been born on the moon." I've been to Puerto Rico, Barranquitas in fact, many times and even lived there for a couple years a while back. I was very involved in trying to get released the 12 Puerto Rican Political Prisoners and POWS in the last century. Now that was something else, seeing the companeras being released!

I was born in 1952. I'm an avid gardener, love my two little poodles, have lots of canaries, love to swim, and am involved in my church. I work part time for a chiropractor to supplement my meager Social Security check. I'm disabled due to battling two kinds of cancer and severe arthritis. It wasn't how I planned to live, but it is what it is. We must stay positive in every way in the face of everything.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have been a fan of science and astronomy since I was a young girl. I've no doubt the Universe (multi-verse?) is full of life, even intelligent life. I just hope when we find each other we will survive and grow from the encounter.
