Profile: Douglas Beatenhead

Personal background
I'm a 60 year old male who loves advance science. I have taken many clases in advanced calculus, chemistry and physics. I spend me time writing science fiction. My first book published this year (2012) is title: Genesis Protocol, Dawn of a New Era. I have held many interesting jobs in my life. I have worked at a research labortory operating a scanning electron microscope, creating micrographs and x-ray for analysis. I have also taught CAD at a major university in Flint, Michigan. I have worked in the fields of civil and telecommuncations engineering. I believe that no matter how intelligent one thinks they are, they still need a teacher! A good friend and I build an 8" newtonian telescope. We also build an atomic clould chamber. And I still enjoy the facinating fields of all science. I'm presently working on my second book title: Manace from Outer Space. I also enjoy life and try to live in the moment.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I run SETI@home because I believe in E.T. and that some day we'll find them. This project is very, very new and it may take decades upon decades to possibly find a signal, a hint that they are out there. I do not believe that we are all along!
