I'm a computer hobbyist who has been tinkering with computers since a ROP program in high school where I was able to learn FORTRAN @ JPL. I am born/raised in Southern California. I like playing chess and studying anything about our universe.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I chose to run SETI@home because I really believe that there is life out there, and I do not have much else to offer at this time, so I am happy to provide some unused cpu/gpu cycles to further the cause.
2. I am all for it; it is sad that the government does not put forth more resources into this (or similar) project(s). I think that it is great that the community at large is helping this project.
3. I am new to the project, but as I learn more about it, perhaps I will find something to suggest.
