Personal background
I reside in the action-packed town of Kalamazoo, Michigan. As the Vice President of a web development company, I participate in various public forums and activities to encourage the proliferation of technology in surrounding communities. I graduated from Western Michigan University with a BBA in Computer Information Systems and also hold a degree in Audio and Video Production from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale.

I stumbled across SETI in 1998 and have not only enjoyed assisting such a program, but have participated with many friends and co-workers over the years; many of whom are still involved. A few of my close friends and I started the Galactic Scanning Consortium to see who could crunch the most work units... and, oh yeah... help find E.T.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I have a very difficult time believing that we are all alone in this Universe. For this reason, I participate and believe that we should continue our efforts to probe the sky in anticipation of that first signal. We live in a very large galaxy and it seems almost inconceivable that we would be the only living creatures in it... SETI helps me realize that I'm not the only one who shares that point of view.

In the event that such a discovery does occur, I look forward to the opportunities that meeting a race from outside our solar system would bring. The technology, the culture...and hopefully the answers to many questions we ask ourselves everyday will be shared by all societies of our planet and enable us to join a bigger cause in our Universe.
