I am from hollywood california, raised in chicago,joined the air force in 1976 right out of high school, which landed me married and in active duty in phoenix for the next four years at luke air force base as a radar early warning and control systems operator.
From there I expanded my hobby interest in audio to loudspeaker design and basic electronics and started my own high end loudspeaker co in san diego in 1984. This operated until 2001 at which point I had to retire for health reasons.
I am 55
My hobby is still mostly music, records preferably, and refinement of my personsl audio systems |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I would like to be part of whatever effort is made to show that it cannot be true that we are alone. Allthough I am not convinced that listening to just far distant signals is our only way to discern this fact, it may not even be the most likely place to find the signs, but at least it should not be ignored.
It still seems to me that we should pay more attention to the many moons that occupy our solar system that may be capable of some types of habitation either now or at other points in time.
I still have many questions about the origin, processes and effects of the creation of the asteroid belt. This also seems to be a possible location for
habitable bodies, this could be or have been locations of interest. I have not heard this discussed by anyone before.
Is it imposible ?
Would any of them be habitable for any kind of predictable periods of time?
Could any of them be in use somehow now?
It seems to me that unless something like a warp drive of some sort is possible at all any attention or concerns about alien life at light year distances is purely intelectual sophistry and is nothing but distraction.
On the other hand if it is possible, they may be here now or at least where once or are closer by than we think!
When I spoke to people that had been stationed at the edge of the arctic circle when I was In the Air Force they would direct me to radar tapes in thier bases in alaska showing craft that performed in ways that we won't be able to duplicate for a thousand years, I don't believe they are experimental government projects being kept secret. It's something else! |
