Personal background |
I live in Virginia, am 54 years old, a wife, a working mother. I work for an advertising agency and don't know doodly about computers to speak of.
Thinking about the universe ... boggles my brain, awakens my imagination. I know there is something out there, we are not alone. But Who? What? Where? How far? Intelligent life or just cells swimming in primordial soup?
When I heard about SETI@home earlier this year, I thought it was pretty cool that anyone could participate in the resource sharing. Why not? My little computer doesn't contribute much on the scale of things, but what the heck. I also participate in Einstein@home and MilkyWay@home.
I admit I do feel a little out of place in the SETI community, it seems like most people are IT pros. But that's ok. I enjoy being a part of it, however small a part it is. |
