Personal background
I´m a 28 year old student of biotechnology and I´m going to finish my studies this year. (I apologize for my english. It is really bad.)
Currently I live in Mannheim, Germany.
When I was a little girl I thought that I would be the first person to have contact with extraterrestrial live (At that time I wanted to be an astronaut.). But I also thought that I would become a superhero.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I´m sure that there is live in this universe, I always was, but I´m not sure that we will discover it.
Why should a race with a much higher technical standard, that is older than ours and which knows that we´re not at all united emphasize their existence?
We are a warlike race of conquerors and why should this end when we discover a new planet with a lot of resources we could use.
And the others could be the same and if this will happen we have a big problem.
Although this sounds pessimistic I hope that we will know how to act right.
We can find new friends and discover new cultures and thoughts and can get some help or give them help if they need it.
A friend of me told me about SETI@home and I´m glad to give a little help with my computer.
