Personal background
Guess I have to admit, that I've finally just become "an Old Bugger"... Been in the music business spiritually since the mid 60's, professionally since the mid 70's, I'm gonna hit 60 this year and I figure the kiddies just don't have time to use the old bugger that lives near the woods by the train station...lol their loss...

I'm good at what I do, being a FOH engineer...I've worked with some of the planets great musicians in the 70's and 80's, when people just started pushing buttons instead of playing their instruments I sortta bummed out and figured I might as well get into computers too as that's where everybody was goin'...so I got myself SicroMoft Certified figuring it'd help me get a job...laughs heavily...

Long story short...no job...so I built a little home studio 32 channels analog/digital recording in a room the size of a shoe box, of course it's been acoustically treated (oh yeah, studied Acoustics at the "Danish Technical University DTU), and the shoe box, dubbed "The Cave" sounds really good for what it is...Just for the hell of it I call my setup "Smokin' Audio" referring mostly to myself, I guess...

Born an raised in Cleveland, Ohio! Got moved to Germany in 1969, and the day I turned 18, "escaped" to Sweden, and have been in Scandinavia/Europe ever since...I live in a little place right in the middle of "Sealand" (sjælland), 77k's/45 miles from Copenhagen in Denmark... Got 2 grown sons in Sweden (1st wife), and have been living with Susanne for the last 25 years... Got a couple of Maine Coons so this is one hairy house we live in...

Building a new DAW, I have a HP Conpaq nx9420, duo core 2.0Mhz, 2Gb ram, loads of storage, and an ATI Radeon 1600 that is the achillies heel of the system, it just can't keep up at times... The new machine (my last I figure) is a Intel Quad Core Xeon X3450 processor on an Asus P7P55-WS MOBO with 16Gb Corsair Dominator 1333Mhz Ram, at the moment only 1 Duo Core Asus 3GB GeForce GTX 590 with internal SLI (next one coming soon Quad SLI)...Might as well do some computing if I'm not recording or on tour...hehe

So that's me in a nutshell...
