Profile: Oakstroke (A.K.A. Christopher Oakley)

Personal background
My name is Christopher and I'm an undergratuate Physics and Astronomy student at The University of Georgia. I like long-distance running, working with computers, reading non-fiction, playing PC games...a lot, and amateur astronomy. I'm 21 and originally from Fairfield, Connecticut. My friends help me churn out the packets. So a big "shout out" goes to them. Oh,...I am a Gemini; turn-ons include science fiction, science fact, walks under the stars, and nice pearly white teeth. Thank you for taking the time to read this drivel.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Well, I think that ET's are very likely to be out there. In what form or level of technology, I can't say. If you don't try you'll never know. That's what my father told me about asking girls out, and I think it applies here. We just want to "get to know" beings from other worlds. We are now looking as a planet, and that's a good start. Anything that can bring a group of people from around the world together is a step in the right direction for mankind. I just enjoy being a part of something this big and knowing I help, that's probably the same reason I'm a sucker for helping better the environment.
