Personal background
I'm living in Sweden in a small town called Nyköping (lived here since I was borned back in 1967).

I'm working as network administrator at a local
governmental office (local county administrative board).

Hobbies are many but I've been working some with
AI and robotics, both virtual and practical astronomy,
electronics, fast cars, faster cars and much much more...

Have been running SETI "classic" since 7 July 2003 but is now switching to BOINC instead (have made around 45000 "classic batches").

Runs on everything from my kids PCs to (sometimes) my Dell-servers with up to four Xeon-processors.

I did not get it to work on my Sinclair ZX80 ;-)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI@home?

Interesting solution that may be used to solve many problems in the future.
Sharing CPU-power as well as file storage (MP3s,DIVx...;) will most likely become more and more interesting as internet bandwith grows and the number of computers grows (and becomes "bigger and faster").

Should we try to contact "ET"?

I don't think it really matters...

Do I think "ET" exist and how should we discover it?

It's far too many unknown factors to really have a serious thought about how many planets (asteroids, voids...) have life. We do not have that knowledge yet.
I guess that we not alone but we (they) are lost in space and time.

But maybee we (they) are lucky and lives just around the corner.

What will happen if we make contact with "ET?

Most likely will they suck our brains out.

I've seen it happen on TV :-)
