Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I started doing SETI thanks to an excellent article on the old How Stuff Works website by Marshall Brain about SETI. In the article he invited users to join the group that he created on SETI. Marshall has long since been inactive with the SETI group he founded but some of us still keep it going in his honor.

I still continue to run SETI@Home on several of my computers and am one of the few active members still in that group and the largest contributor to that group in general.
