| My name is James from Limerick, Ireland. I'm currently a 4th year student in applied chemistry and environmental science. Outside of the course I'm interested in space (obviously!), biology and biochem, space tech and general stuff like writing, music, sci-fi/horror/action movies, books and tv shows. So it goes without sayin I'm joined up with a LOT of Boinc projects, perhaps a few too many for my three-year old laptop but hey every little bit helps and I'm not just in it for the credit! |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

| I've always been fascinated by the idea of SETI and the fact that my pc is helping sift through tonnes of data where a signal from aliens could be hiding is the main reason why I run it. I actually get entertainment just by watching the SETI screensaver! I think the project is going very well and the thing it has over most other projects is the very detailed screensaver graphics so users can actually see what their computer is doing for SETI. |
