Personal background
He's studying electrical engineering since winter semester 2005 in Lübeck. It's a beautiful city situated near to the Baltic Sea in the north of Germany.

Further on he especially likes distributed computing... obviously ;).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Probably we're not going to find any significant signals within our life period, but the work has to be done! Otherwise I would be tortured by sleepless nights asking myself if I couldn't have done more than just hoping that any one else would do this job.
For shure there is intelligent life out there and I won't let them unheard. Though we don't know how they might be trying to contact us SETI@home seems to be a good attempt.

Keep on crunching... :)
