I'm brazilian guy, living in Campinas/SP, engineering's student and 23 years old.
Eu trabalho em uma empresa de distribuição de enegia elétrica (onde rodo o programa).
I work at one Electricity Company (where I have been running SETI@home for the last months).
Atualmente, meu hobbie favorito é o para-quedismo, mas adoro jogar futebol e basquete.
Currently, my favorite hobbie is the skydiver, but I love to play soccer and basket.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. Sim e acredito que os ET's já foram descobertos mas devido a vários motivos, entre eles a religião, não se divulga esta notÃcia.
1. Yes and I believe that ET's already been discovered but many reasons, and religion is one , that obstruct to tell the true.
Our own (im)maturity will determine our reaction to any extra-terrestrial contact or arrival. Humanity still has a long way to go before it will be truly ready to join any galactic community. We've just witnessed once again (11/09/01) how low a level of tolerance and understanding humans show here on Earth.
2. DeverÃamos construir algo na lua que reduzisse a interferência nas ondas de rádio da Terra, e transmitir matemática, ciência e música. Fazendo isso eles nos visitariam com maior frequência.
2. We should build a beacon on the far side of the moon to reduce radio-wave interference from Earth, transmitting mathematics, science and music. If we build it, they will visit us frequently.
3. SETI@home é uma causa da qual vale à pena participar. O programa é um bom começo,mas precisamos de mais. Com sempre, o dinheiro é o maior problema e devido a isso temos outras necessidades urgentes. Tendo bons resultados as coisas vão melhorar. Temos que continuar tentando.
3. SETI@home is a worthwhile cause in which to participate. The SETI@home project is a good beginning, but more is needed. As always, money is a major problem, due to so many other urgent needs. If we get good results, things may well change for the better. We can only keep trying.
