| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I am sure life exists elsewhere. How intelligent and when they exist are the only questions in my mind. Benefits and dangers, huh...well, benefits are endless and dangers would only be from the wacko's.
2. Right now I think we should not send a beacon. We need to grow up a bit more. And in the mean time we keep looking...
3. I run SETI@home on 3 or 4 computers (depending on my need for my laptop elsewhere) because this is a great way to be part of something I could never do myself but would love to. My views are that this should continue, at least, until something is discovered. The new array should speed things up. Suggestions...only that I hope you can upgrade the collecting network. |
